floral preservation
Our floral preservation services translate the blooms from your meaningful moments into sculptural and enduring fine art pieces to enjoy through the lengths of time.
ABOUT.
We work with flowers from any memory you would like to preserve, including weddings, anniversaries, or other personal moments.
Each piece is created using traditional pressing methods, without artificial colours or enhancement, allowing the flowers to retain their natural character.
Individual blooms and petals are carefully dried and preserved before being arranged into custom fine art compositions. Archival materials are used to ensure longevity and quality.
THE PROCESS.
A slow, intentional preservation process takes several months from start to finish to ensure a high-quality final piece.

The fresher the flowers, the more vibrant and detailed the final pressed design will be.Keep your flowers hydrated.
For best results, please keep the bouquet in water as much as possible until it’s delivered. Flowers continue to deteriorate rapidly after your event. The older they are, the more likely they are to brown, wilt, or mould during pressing.Non-arrival, old, or damaged bouquets.
In the rare case that a bouquet does not arrive or arrives in an unworkable condition, we will reach out immediately. While we will do our best to preserve what is possible, we cannot guarantee the outcome of florals received in poor condition.
-
Once we receive your bouquet, the full preservation and designing process typically takes 6 months.
This timeframe allows for slow, careful drying and pressing to retain quality and prevent mould. This also allows time for intentional, artistic planning and composition of your piece. Followed by thorough framing, sealing, and final inspection. -
Framing
Your piece is finished in a high-quality, sustainability driven floating frame.
These frames are made with a shatter-proof acrylic glass and are perfect for showcasing detail. These frames create a clean, timeless effect and allow the piece to feel light and sculptural.
DeliveryOnce complete, your fine art piece is carefully packaged and locally delivered or shipped with care.
IMPORTANT NOTES ON PRESERVATION.
Pressed floral preservation works with natural, organic materials, and change is an inherent part of the process. Each flower responds differently over time, creating subtle variations that give pressed flower art its depth, texture, and character.
-
Each flower’s colour will change during the preservation process. White and pastel flowers commonly dry into warmer tones of soft yellow, beige, or brown. Pastels become more muted or dusty. Vibrant colours change in tone. Many petals take on a translucent nature. These changes are natural, irreversible, and part of the character of pressed flower art.
We do not use any colour enhancers or dyes in our work. -
In our studio, many flowers are carefully disassembled and pressed petal by petal to preserve clarity and prevent mould. This approach allows greater opportunity in design, preserves unique features, and highlights detail.
Not every type of flower presses well. This careful approach gives a greater chance of successful pressing.
That being said, not every flower will be an exact replica of how it appears fresh, but we will be thoughtful in how we design the final piece. -
Wrinkling, textural changes, translucency, and shifts in size or shape are all part of the natural drying and pressing process. We embrace these changes and see them as additions of dimension and organic beauty to the final piece.
-
Our pressed floral pieces are an interpretation, not an exact bouquet replica. Each composition is designed with intention, focusing on balance, texture, restraint, and emotional tone.
